You are certain...Thanks for your comments, Richard. You are certainly right that it is hard to get an overview of the online debate. It is bewildering and sometimes posts and debates are hard to retrieve. In addition, some of the online knowledge production may appear more like a wiki where everyone can contribute. Still, we have to find ways of dealing with new technology and the academic cultures that develop around it. It is no wonder that we have no good solutions yet - this media change has just started. Regarding professor King: I would never doubt her integrity, I worked with her on a research project back in 2007, and her integrity is not what this debate is about. I am discussing a practice that most of us share but which we might have to look for better ways of dealing with. King figures prominently in a discussion that displays the complexity of the issue particularly well, and as such her essay warrants discussion.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04862345506920099129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3531022487304017049.post-22356449420927405572014-04-16T08:24:37.833+02:002014-04-16T08:24:37.833+02:00« the discussions that take place in blogs, in the...« the discussions that take place in blogs, in their commentary fields, and sometimes even on Facebook : not forgetting electronic mailing lists (e. g. this one) – maybe postal mailing lists ?… ;-) –, TwitPic, Twitter… all of them vanishing medias… :-(Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08426047904476916782noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3531022487304017049.post-78696056873172398312014-04-16T07:42:16.373+02:002014-04-16T07:42:16.373+02:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04862345506920099129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3531022487304017049.post-63328970483507200462014-04-16T07:41:40.803+02:002014-04-16T07:41:40.803+02:00Thanks, Mike.
